A Theatrical Adaptation of CS Lewis’
The Great Divorce
The Great Divorce by C.S. Lewis is a story of a group of miserable, shadowy figures who live in “the Grey Town,” a place where love, hope, and joy are fading like the setting of the sun. These ghostly figures are allowed to take a “holiday” to the “bright country,” where everything is real, solid, glorious, and redeemed, like the rising of the sun.
It soon becomes clear that these miserable creatures have been living in hell and on this brief excursion to h eaven they will be given one last chance to relinquish the things, relationships, and beliefs that have bound them in sorrow in their earthly life. However, choosing joy over the comfort of familiar habits proves much harder than they guessed. The Great Divorce is a production that promises to touch the mind, heart, and soul.
