"Joining that retreat set the course for nearly all of my post-graduation work as a writer, editor, poet, and lifelong student of classic literature. The deepest encouragement to me during the retreat was the experience of meeting so many other writers and artists who all had a love of good literature, not just C.S. Lewis but also Tolkien, George MacDonald, and G.K. Chesterton. Everyone I met was strongly grounded in the Christian faith and a beautiful source of support and feedback to me as a writer. The Foundation was such a confirmation that there are so many of us who are working to bring the beauty and truth that the modern world is hungry for. Spending time in that fellowship truly gave a deeper meaning to what C.S. Lewis so aptly said, "What? You too? I thought I was the only one." What an honor to be connected to the C.S. Lewis Foundation.
