Registration is now open! See details below.
How to Register
To attend the 2025 C.S. Lewis Summer Institute, you’ll need to register for tuition/admission through the C.S. Lewis Foundation and separately for your lodging.
To register for tuition/admission, please read the information below (including the policies/procedures at the bottom) and click on the register button. Note, you will need to pay in full upon registration. If we have moved to a waitlist at any point, you will need to pay in full when we contact you if there is a spot available.
For help or if you have questions, please call 909-389-1155 Monday through Friday, 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. Pacific Time. Admission rates include the registration fee and tuition for the event, along with six meals (four dinners and two receptions).
Admission/Tuition
Note: you will need to register for lodging and other meals separately through a hotel of your choosing. We plan to host the majority of the event (main morning sessions, afternoon seminars, evening performances) at the Assembly Buildings Conference Centre in downtown Belfast. Our headquarters hotel for our late night “Bag End Cafe” program and a few of the afternoon seminars will be the Europa Hotel.
In the coming months, we’ll have a list of hotels with discounted rates as we negotiate with various hotels. However, you may want to reserve a hotel on your own if you find a good rate. There are many good hotels within walking distance of our venues.
Information on accommodations including any booking links (as we get them) will be on our accommodations page.
Admission Rates
All options include a nonrefundable $435 Registration Fee and a partially refundable (see deadlines below) Program/Tuition Fee. Please note: These options DO NOT include accommodations.

Accommodations
We plan for Assembly Buildings Conference Centre to be our headquarters for the 2025 Summer Institute. The majority of our sessions will happen there, with some afternoon and evening sessions elsewhere around the city. Our headquarters hotel for our late night “Bag End Cafe” program and a few of the afternoon seminars will be the Europa Hotel.
Registrants are responsible for the costs of their accommodations, separate from the Registration/Program Fees listed above. In the coming months, we’ll have a list of hotels with discounted rates as we negotiate with various hotels. However, you may want to reserve a hotel on your own if you find a good rate. There are many good hotels within walking distance of our venues. Information on accommodations including the booking link (when it is posted) is on our accommodations page.
Scholarships
A limited number of scholarships are available for the 2025 C.S. Lewis Summer Institute in the form of tuition grants.
These have been reserved primarily for the use of those who would not be able to attend the C.S. Lewis Summer Institute without assistance, often including, but not limited to, students, artists, teaching faculty, those presenting papers in the academic roundtable, and those in full-time ministry. The goal of our scholarships is to help supplement an individual’s own financial resources in cases of genuine need.
Scholarships will apply only to the Admission/Tuition portion of the conference rate. Most scholarships will be awarded at levels of $550, $1120, and $1680 to be deducted from the tuition rate (In special circumstances, we may be able to offer up to $2100). Due to funding restraints, hard costs, including transportation, meals, refreshments, and materials cannot be covered by scholarships.
Process for applying for a scholarship:
- Register for the Summer Institute online when it is available and choose the “send check” option for your payment. (note: you won’t be paying through this system, but need to choose this payment option to complete the registration process)
- Next, submit the following to us:
- A letter describing your personal reasons for desiring to attend, what you hope to gain from your attendance, and the specific nature of your need. Also note which type of scholarship for which you are applying – a tuition grant or a work study scholarship (see below for details).
- A copy of your resume or C.V.
- Two letters of reference, preferably one personal and one professional.
- Our Scholarship Committee will review application materials and decide upon award amounts (see below for deadlines, decision timing, and related information).
- We will send you an email and a link to pay the remainder of your Registration Fee and Tuition (in the event that the amount of scholarship awarded proves to be inadequate to your needs and you decline the award, a full refund of your Registration Fee will be made if you let us know prior to June 1, 2025; after this date the fee is non-refundable).
Application materials can be sent by email to schevalier@cslewis.org or by post to:
C.S. Lewis Foundation
C/O Scholarship Coordinator
P.O. Box 8008
Redlands, CA 92375
The first round of scholarships are due January 5, 2025. Depending on how many scholarships are still available, the second round of scholarships will be due February 5, 2025.
Regional Resident Rates
We do plan to offer special rates to residents of Northern Ireland, the Republic of Ireland, England, Wales, and Scotland. We plan to offer single session passes, single day passes, and a week pass. The special passes will include rates for the morning plenary sessions and most evening performances. Due to space limitations, the passes might not include options for afternoon seminars, dinners, transportation, and receptions (we are in the process of figuring out these rates and plan to offer them for registration later this year or early next year). If you are a resident of any of the above nations and would like to be among the first to receive notice of registration being open, please join our Interest List by emailing schevalier@cslewis.org.
Half-Conference Rates
At this point, we are seeking to offer a half-conference option. We’ve found over the years that those who sign up for a half-conference rate are generally disappointed by their experience — those who attend the first half of the event regularly report disappointment in leaving the new friends they’ve met; while those who attend the second half regularly report difficulty in “catching up” on missed sessions and making friends with those who might already have made friends already. Because the conference is limited to around 300 people in certain venues, we also prefer to make space available for those attending the full event.
However, if there is enough desire for such an option, and if we have space to offer it, we will consider opening a half-conference option in early to mid-Spring 2025. If you are interested in this, please let us know by emailing schevalier@cslewis.org.
Payment Options
Methods
We accept payment online, by telephone, and by mail, through the following methods:
- Check or money order (Make payable to “C.S. Lewis Foundation” and include a note designating the check as payment for Oxbridge 2025.) To do so, register online and choose “check” as your payment option. Send the payment to our mailing address at C.S. Lewis Foundation, P.O. Box 8008, Redlands, CA 92375. We do not receive mail at our physical address in Redlands. Please note that paying by check helps save us a significant amount that is lost to credit card fees – we are a nonprofit organization that relies on individual donors for support and every little bit saved from credit card fees helps in our mission! 🙂
- Credit Card – We accept Visa, MasterCard, American Express, and Discover. Credit cards are charged through PayPal as the processing company, but do not require a PayPal account or sign up.
- PayPal – You may use a PayPal account to pay through our online registration system.
Partial Payments
Due to credit card fees and the extra costs we incur to track, collect, and process partial payments for the conference, we very much prefer to receive payment in full.
If you do wish to make payments for your tuition, please note that any discounted rate above requires payment in full (i.e. one can’t register for the early bird discount and then pay their remainder during the regular registration period). We also ask that partial payments be made by check to “C.S. Lewis Foundation, Attn: Summer Institute, P.O. Box 8008, Redlands, CA 92375”. Please put “Summer Institute” on the memo line of your check.
Policies
Discounted Rates
* Note: group discounts cannot be combined with other discounts. To receive discount, group must register together using the bundle discount on our 2025 Summer Institute online registration page or call us to arrange registration & payment.
Registrants can only receive one discount. Discounts listed above may not be combined. For example, a person can only receive the Super Early Discount or the Student Discount, but not both.
Super Early and Early Bird Discounts require payment in full during the discount time period. If you register during the period, but don’t make payment until after the discount expires, you will not receive the discount.
When registering, you may choose whichever option is applicable and serves you best.
Scholarships and discounts: If you are awarded a tuition or work study scholarship, you will not also receive a discount. You’ll need to register for the full registration rate (not early bird nor super early bird) and choose check in the mail as your payment option. We’ll then award your scholarship, log it in the registration system, and have you make payment on the remaining amount separately at a future date.
Refunds
Of the Tuition $435 is non-refundable. Due to contractual agreements with our venues, all payments for the remainder of Tuition are fully refundable up to April 10, 2025, 50% refundable from April 11, 2025 to May 31, 2025; and nonrefundable beginning June 1, 2025. Note: if you do need to cancel for any reason, you can transfer a registration to another person (who is not already registered for the event) with no penalty, by notifying us up to the week prior to the event.
Depending on where you are staying during the conference, your accommodation likely has its own individual refund policy. Refer to their website for details when you register.
Travel Insurance
It is strongly advised that C.S. Lewis Summer Institute participants purchase travel insurance to protect themselves from unforeseen events that may impact their travel plans.
Exchange Rate
As all C.S. Lewis Foundation costs for the event are ultimately due and payable in British pounds sterling to vendors in the U.K., the cost in U.S. currency may be subject to increase due to potential fluctuations in currency exchange rates. Should the cost of the pound rise above $1.80 by July 1, 2025, a pro-rata currency exchange surcharge may be applied.
Event Cancellation Policy
The C.S. Lewis Foundation assumes no liability for changes in personal, individual travel plans or additional travel costs due to travel complications that might arise (please see our refund policy above). In case of the event being cancelled, we are able to convert the amount to a donation, apply it to future events, or refund attendees in installments and based on our Board of Trustees’ guidance.
Photography/Filming/Information use
By registering for the event, you give your consent to be filmed/photographed during the event for potential use for archival, fundraising, marketing, and promotional productions of the C.S. Lewis Foundation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Note: we do not share your contact information with outside groups and only will contact you for programs, event, and fundraising related purposes of the C.S. Lewis Foundation. You may opt out from our mailing list at any time by emailing info@cslewis.org.
