OX-03 ~ Management/CEO Track— “The Self in Paradox: the Executive’s Path to Effective Servant Leadership,” with Darrell Passwater, Laurie Beth Jones, and Prabhu Guptara

Answering Christ’s call to servant leadership, contemporary Christians in management may struggle amid what often appears as a rift between competitive excellence and core Christian values.  As we find our Self in Christ, how can we fulfill our calling in the business world, pursuing the highest good in effectively leading our companies, coworkers, and employees?  How can we practically envision Jesus’ summoning to “abundant life” in the modern management culture of competition and compromise?  Join us as we pursue this discussion together.

Week one will focus on the “Self” in today’s economic environment.  How can we, as managers, develop effective teams to assist in today’s uncertainty, and, in many cases, chaos?  Both Laurie Beth Jones and Prabhu Guptara will dialog with us in developing effective strategies. Week two will focus upon the “Self and the Search for Faith.”  How can we remain steadfast to Christian ethics when confronted with complex and challenging questions?  Both David Miller and Darrell Passwater will explore these questions with us.
